In addition to membership programs and networking, the Austin LGBT Chamber offers community resource information to the public at large.

 

The Downtown Austin Alliance

A Public Improvement District, or PID, is a district specifically formed for the purpose of enhancing, improving or promoting the interests of the municipality. The Austin Downtown PID was formed in 1993, and the Downtown Austin Alliance was created as the managing entity. The Downtown Austin Alliance leads and participates in a broad range of programs and initiatives that create, preserve and enhance the value and vitality of downtown Austin.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program

  • Ensures equal opportunity in transportation contracting markets.
  • Addresses the effects of discrimination in transportation contracting.
  • Promotes increased participation in federally funded contracts by small, socially and economically disadvantaged businesses, including minority- and women-owned enterprises.

City of Austin Small Business Program

The Small Business Program provides business training, educational events, and coaching to empower entrepreneurs. Our mission is to foster job creation and support the growth of new and existing businesses by providing capacity building information, tools, and resources.
