Founded in 1997, we serve as Central Texas’ largest hub for LGBTQ+ and allied businesses and organizations. Our mission is to foster and sustain a thriving regional economy, bolstered by the full engagement of diverse local communities. We represent hundreds of small businesses, corporations, and nonprofit members, all committed to championing equality and diversity in the workplace.
STRONG COMMUNITIES
The Austin LGBT Chamber works to achieve equality and inclusion by promoting economic vitality in our communities and strengthening LGBTQ+ owned and allied businesses.
In 2004, the Austin LGBT Chamber became one of the founding members of the National LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). In 2019, Austin LGBT Chamber joined forces with our partner LGBTQ Chambers in Texas (North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce, San Antonio LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce) to form the Texas LGBTQ Chambers of Commerce. In 2021, the Diversity and Ethnic Chamber Alliance (DECA) comprised of the Austin LGBT Chamber, Greater Austin Asian Chamber, Greater Austin Black Chamber, and the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, was formed.
