[AUSTIN, TX] The Austin LGBT Chamber Education Fund has opened its scholarship application.

 

The Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, through the education fund, is excited to help students find education opportunities to propel them further. Students who are interested should apply at: https://forms.gle/DpaDX9ze1K5J1vNk6

 

Applicants must be Texas residents. Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, students should be enrolled in community colleges, four-year public or private colleges or universities, or vocational/technical/trade programs. 

 

Current college students and those individuals planning to enroll in a program next year are eligible as are current high school seniors. 

 

Preference is given to students who identify as LGBTQ+, members of LGBTQ+ families, or straight allies who’ve been supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. All applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to equality and human rights for all. The Austin LGBT Chamber Education Fund scholarship applicants are asked to describe their involvement and leadership within the LGBTQ+ community. 

 

Scholarship recipients will be notified mid-November 2023 and invited to attend the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce Business of Pride Gala on December 2, 2023. Awardees will be recognized at the Gala.
