As National Pride Month kicks off in Austin, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate, connect, and show up for the LGBTQ+ community all across Central Texas. From networking events and ribbon cuttings to live performances, wellness initiatives, family-friendly gatherings, and community celebrations, Pride Month is filled with opportunities to support local businesses, meet new people, and celebrate the vibrant diversity that makes our region so special.

At the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, we’re proud to help bring our community together through events that uplift LGBTQ+ businesses, nonprofits, artists, and leaders. Whether you’re attending your first Pride event or you’ve been celebrating for years, we invite you to join us throughout the month at Chamber programs and community events designed to foster connection, visibility, and joy.

Monthly Happy Hour + Ribbon Cutting at the Austin Eagle – Join the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce for our June Monthly Happy Hour—this time with a special Rainbow Ribbon Cutting celebrating The Austin Eagle! Whether you’re a longtime member or new to the community, this is the perfect opportunity to connect, build relationships, and support one of Austin’s iconic LGBTQIA+ spaces. Come mix, mingle, and raise a glass with fellow professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.

The Little Gay Shop’s Pride Party – Join The Little Gay Shop for our annual Pride Party, a celebration of everything that makes our queer community amazing – art, music, food, creativity, joy and togetherness. Free and open to ALL. 100+ Vendors.

Pride Health Fair @ The Long Center’s Drop-In Concert – Join the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s Health & Wellness Committee on Wednesday, June 25th at the iconic Long Center for a special Pride in Health Fair during The Drop-In, Austin’s beloved free outdoor concert series!

Pride Night at Zach Theater – Annie – Join the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and Zach Theater for PRIDE NIGHT! A celebration of our LGBTQIA+ community with an exclusive pre-show reception.

Pride Picnic at Pease Park –  In celebration of Pride Month, Pease Park Conservancy partners with Future Front Texas to present the fifth annual Pride Picnic – a day of abundant sunshine and community celebration at Austin’s first public park. The event is a free, fun-for-all, and family-friendly celebration that takes place on the last Saturday of June. The Austin LGBT Chamber is a proud sponsor and partner for the event.

Member & Community Pride Events

Our members and community partners are hosting an incredible lineup of Pride Month events all across Central Texas, offering even more ways to celebrate, connect, learn, and show your Pride throughout the month. From live performances and brunches to wellness events, book clubs, support groups, and community gatherings, these events showcase the creativity, diversity, and spirit of Austin’s LGBTQ+ community and allies 🌈

PRIDE WEEK ONE

June 1-30 

Pride with Purpose – A Pride Month Giving Competition Supporting Equality Texas – This June, we’re turning Pride into action with the launch of our first ever team-based fundraising competition: Pride with Purpose! Bring your friends together to raise funds for Equality Texas, celebrate Pride, and support LGBTQIA+ Texans across the state.

UMLAUF After Dark: Pride! – Step into a night of art, music, and celebration at UMLAUF After Dark. This special evening highlights LGBTQIA2S+ artists and performers, bringing the community together through live entertainment, creative experiences, and vibrant energy.

June 4

Alok Vaid-Menon at Paramount Theatre – ALOK (they/them) is an internationally acclaimed poet, comedian, public speaker, and actor. ALOK’s literary works “Beyond the Gender Binary,” “Femme in Public,” and “Your Wound, My Garden,” have garnered global recognition. Their dynamic presence has captivated audiences in over 40 countries, with sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Netflix is a Joke Festival.

June 5

RENT in 33MM at Paramount Theatre – This event is a part of the Paramount Theatre’s annual Pride celebration, The Majestic Ball Week! (2005, 135min/color, 35mm) Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal, Rosario Dawson, Jesse L. Martin, Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Idina Menzel, Tracie Thoms, and Taye Diggs. Directed by Chris Columbus. Set in New York City’s East Village, the revolutionary rock opera RENT tells the story of a group of bohemians struggling to live and pay their rent. Measuring their lives in love, these starving artists strive for success and acceptance while supporting each other through poverty and illness.

Round Rock Pride Festival – Please join us for the FIFTH annual Round Rock Pride Festival, a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusivity! Come together with friends, family, and allies to celebrate love, acceptance, and community. Don’t miss this opportunity to embrace unity and show your support for LGBTQ+ rights in Round Rock!

June 6

The Majestic Ball with Shea Couleé, Diamond Dior Davenport and Mother Lepore at Paramount Theatre – And the Category Is…. The Rococo Rebellion There were queens of England, there were queens of France, but they had nothing on the queens of the Majestic Ball! The largest ball in Texas extends its reign into year five, with the annual metamorphosis serving lights-flashing, music-blasting ballroom draped in decadence, luxury, and… dare we say… scandal at the Palace de Paramount. You are cordially invited to a ball like none before. Party like it’s 1775 in an extravagant night amidst gilded ornamentation, the clinks of champagne and crystal, and rococo regalia.

Oak Hill Community Pride – Oak Hill Community Pride Festival Sunday SHPC – We are excited to invite you to the first-ever Oak Hill Community Pride Festival on June 7! This collaborative event between Shepherd of the Hills, Oak Hill UMC, and Abiding Love Lutheran is a visible expression of our shared commitment to inclusion, hospitality, and love. The festival will include live performances, activities for children and families, community partners, and opportunities to connect. This is more than an event—it’s a chance to embody the kind of community we believe God calls us to be. We hope you’ll join us and invite others to experience this day of celebration.

June 7

Music Unites: A Pride Recital – Join us for a retrospective of LGBTQIA+ composers and themes that resonate with the LGBTQIA+ community. Spend the afternoon enjoying wonderful music at the Studio A listening room. Performers include members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. All proceeds go to Austin-area LGBTQ+ non-profit organizations. 

June 7

Jams for Pride – Lauren Gould and ATX Artists for Social Impact will be hosting Jams for Pride— a community jazz jam for women and queer artists of any level at Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches.

Tha’ Spot @ Rain on 4th – Your Sundays just got a whole lot hotter! The one and only double-dipped dancing diva Diamond Dior Davenport is turning Rain on 4th into Tha’ Spot every Sunday starting at 8 PM. Get ready for an epic night of RNB & hip-hop vibes, pop-up twerk-offs, drag shows, mini kiki balls, and surprises you won’t want to miss! Let’s make Sundays legendary!

 

PRIDE WEEK TWO

June 9

Travis County’s 6th Annual Pride Flag Raising – Join LGBTQ+ leaders, artists, vendors, advocates, and neighbors from across Travis County as we celebrate Pride Month together and continue a meaningful tradition rooted in inclusion, visibility, and community. This ceremony began five years ago as a way to affirm that everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported in Travis County.

June 9

RCATX Spring Queer Book Club Tea Social – A powerful memoir exploring her relationship with food, body image, and trauma, particularly following a childhood sexual assault that led to weight gain as a coping mechanism for protection and comfort. The book candidly discusses the psychological and emotional struggles of living in a large body in a culture obsessed with appearance, examining themes of self-care, desire, and the journey toward self-acceptance, rather than a simple weight-loss narrative. ‍

Online Support Group for LGBTQIA2S+ Caregivers – This is an online support group for LGBTQIA2S+ Caregivers and Allies caregiving for those in the community. It is a space of peer support led by Robert Arambel, LMSW and Hetty Borinstein, LMSW Volunteer, offered by Rainbow Connections ATX.

The Kind Event – Join us for our annual Pride Month celebration benefiting Texas Health Action, Kind Clinic, and Waterloo Counseling Center.

Family Day: Garden of Rainbows – Join the UMLAUF for Family Day: Garden of Rainbows! This free Pride celebration invites families to explore the garden, create colorful works of art, and cultivate community as we celebrate love, belonging, and the many hues that make us unique.

Campfire Queer Storytime – Campfire Queer Storytime is a free monthly event where invited guests are given 10-15 minutes each to share a story, read a favorite writer, read their own writing, sing a song or two, lead a ritual, show and tell, share about someone they miss, the only rules are to not use the time to hurt oneself or others. Adult topics on occasion.

Tha Spot @ Rain on 4th – Your Sundays just got a whole lot hotter! Awesome Pride Drag Brunch @ Verbena – This in-person event brings a lively atmosphere filled with laughter, music, and great food. $10 – Tickets include a Welcome Mimosa, and Pool Deck access at the Canopy by Hilton Downtown Austin! It’s happening Sunday, June 14th!

Pride Pool Party with ASHwell @ Colton House – Dive into Pride at Colton House on June 14! Enjoy an afternoon by the pool featuring performances by Karabiner, Sir Beauregard Elliot Esq., and Ryder Strong, with music by DJ KShal + Friends.

PRIDE WEEK THREE

June 15

LGBTQ Quality of Life Commission Meeting – The City and the LGBTQIA+ Resource Advisory Commission is actively working to better understand the LGBTQIA+ community’s strength and diversity, as well as more effectively advocate for its needs. Learn more about the LGBTQIA+ Quality of Life Study.

Out in Tech Austin: June Mixer w/ StartOut & Out in AI – ​Out in Tech brings together LGBTQ+ professionals and allies across tech, startups, and digital culture. Join the Out in Tech ATX community for our monthly mixer at Cheer Up Charlies.​In this special edition we are partnering with StartOut Austin and Out in AI. Come and learn more about their initiatives!​This event is all about showing up as yourself, meeting cool people, and building community. Whether you work in tech, are tech-adjacent, or just curious, come grab a drink, spark a conversation, and connect with folks across roles, companies, and experience levels. No panels. No pitches. Just good vibes and great people.

Monthly Queer Walk – Summer Nights – The 3rd Wednesday of June, July, August join RCATX for an all-ages 18-110 Queer Walk (Summer Nights). The Mueller Lake Park Trail is around 2.6 miles and mostly crushed gravel. ‍Come and enjoy the beautiful Spring nights and make some new friends! ‍ ‍

Rainbow Connections @ Comerica Bank – Join us for Rainbow Connections, an empowering networking event celebrating diversity and inclusion in the financial sector. This Pride Month, we invite LGBTQAI professionals, allies, and supporters to come together for time of connection, inspiration, and collaboration. We will have speakers, food, folks and fun!

Pride for All – Pride of Dripping Springs at Beerburg – Pride For All is a FREE daytime celebration built for community — games, crafts, performances, and space to just hang out. Come through with friends, family, or whoever you show up as.

PRIDE PARTY : Book Launch + Art Making – This special event will feature an introduction to Zak Van Den Berg’s new book, Queer Worldmaking in Art Therapy, which explores how we can expand our understanding of identity, healing, and belonging beyond dominant frameworks.

I Scream Social – I Scream Social is thrilled to celebrate Pride Month with the dreamiest queer lineup, featuring Jazz Bell, Jake Rose, and Saúl Hernández! Bring your queerest poems for the open mic and get ready to make some new besties! Presented by Host Publications, I Scream Social is a monthly feminist reading series and ice cream party that takes place at Alienated Majesty Books.

Embodied: Celebrating 55 Years of ATX Pride @ KMFA Come celebrate the 55th anniversary of Austin’s first Pride March and the 50th anniversary of Austin’s first Pride Week (June 20–26, 1976) at our next flagship production—Embodied: A Celebration of Pride.
