Javier Varela
Javier Varela is a technology and product leader with over 25 years of experience spanning the private sector, an AI startup, and international development. He currently works with the World Bank, where he focuses on delivering data-driven digital products that improve decision-making and outcomes in global food and nutrition security. His background combines computer science, product management, and large-scale delivery.
Outside of work, Javier enjoys spending time with his husband and two children. He also loves travel planning – researching destinations, mapping routes, and finding the next place his family will explore together.
